COVID-19: Workplace Safety Grants
August 3, 2020
Recently, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (“MEDC”) announced $1.25 million in funding toward the Small Farm Safety Grant Program to help support Michigan’s small farms. This program was implemented to help mitigation costs for small farm employees and to protect Michigan’s food production industry.
These funds may be allocated for COVID-19 testing costs, protection equipment, facility, sanitation costs, training, upgraded screening procedures, or farm needs related to COVID-19. In order to be eligible for funding, applicants must have fewer than 10 employees, as well as more eligibility requirements that can be found here.
